On my recent blog about natural beauty, we had lots of questions about male enhancements. So here are some of the facts… cut & paste style!
About The Jelq
According to some websites, the jelqing technique originated in the Middle East and was allegedly used by Arabic men to enlarge their penises to over 20 inches in length! It’s unlikely that these stories are true and in fact some people say that jelqing is a hoax. Whatever the truth of the matter, jelqing seems to have become the most common term used to describe a range of penis stretching, milking and massaging techniques that over time will enlarge the penis.
The jelq exercise will enlarge both girth and the length of the penis. The purpose of the jelq exercise is to force more blood into the corpora cavernosa(the spongy tissue that makes up the penis). This is achieved by using a “milking” technique on the penis. This milking will expand and stretch the cell walls of thecorpora cavernosa to allow larger quantities of blood to enter the penis. Jelqing will increase the size of both the flaccid and erect penis, but most markedly in the erect penis. Jelqing exercises are like regular exercises and need to be carried out on a daily basis. Results from using the jelq can be seen in increases in penis size after only a month and more pronounced results can be seen in penis length and penis girth after several months.
Before You Start Jelqing… Lol, yep that’s the next section on the website!

Penis Lengthening Surgery
Approximately one-half of the penis is located inside the body. It is attached to the pubic bone by what is known as the suspensory ligament. Lengthening is achieved by a procedure that releases the suspensory ligament where it’s attached to the pubic bone, thereby allowing the penis to be advanced toward the outside of the body. The procedure is performed through a discreet horizontal incision located in the pubic region where the pubic hair will help conceal the incision site. No incision is made on the penis itself.
A patient can anticipate a typical gain of between 1 to 2 inches. The amount one can expect to gain depends on several factors. First, length gain is dependent on the size of the penis. A larger penis will typically result in a bigger gain than a smaller penis since there is usually more inside the body that can be advanced. Secondly, the body build of the patient is important. If there is excessive fat located in the pubic region, this can conceal part of the penis and thereby affect the length gain that is achieved.
It is often helpful in these cases to also perform pubic liposuction or a pubic lift to expose more of the penis. Also, a peno-scrotal web (turkey-neck deformity) can decrease the ‘usable’ penis length. Correction of the peno-scrotal web can usually be performed in conjunction with penis lengthening. Lastly, the use of a penis stretching device following the surgery is necessary to achieve the best possible results from penis lengthening surgery.
Penis Widening Surgery
Our recommended technique for penis widening utilizes the insertion of Alloderm™ dermal-matrix grafts placed beneath the skin of the penis shaft. Alloderm is derived from donor human skin which is processed to remove all the cells, leaving only the dermal-matrix. Alloderm was approved by the FDA in 1992 and has enjoyed widespread use in a variety of surgical procedures including burn surgery, nasal septum reconstruction, lip augmentation, abdominal wall reconstruction and breast reconstruction.
We began performing penis widening with Alloderm dermal-matrix grafts in 1998. We have found many advantages to the use of Alloderm over the previous techniques of fat injections and fat grafts. Because Alloderm is inserted as sheets, it results in a smoother, natural result compared to fat which is injected and therefore can result in unevenness or nodularity. In addition, the consistency of Alloderm is similar to that of the penis compared to fat which often feels “spongy”.
The Alloderm is inserted through the same horizontal pubic incision that is used with penis lengthening. These two procedures are often performed together. In some cases, a second smaller incision is made just behind the glans penis. 2-3 layers of Alloderm are wrapped around the penis shaft beneath the skin and secured in place with absorbable sutures. The Alloderm normally attaches to the penis within 4-6 weeks. Typical gain in girth is 25-35% in circumference.
