Word of the Day: Insatiable

I decided I would pick a word today and write from it. So, that’s what I’m doing. I think it will be fun. You know I love words. It’ll be interesting to see where we end up. I think.

N eedless to say, I haven’t been posting as much lately. Not really sure why, just haven’t had too much to say. Have you ever thought about “needless to say”? Why say that? Why not just use “obviously”. If you need less to say because the facts are staring you dead in your face, it’s obvious that “obviously” uses fewer letters and it’s only one word. Much more precise. It seems it would trump “needless to say” in all situations.

S o, I’ve been listening to a lot of old rap lately. When I woke up this morning, my brain immediately started up with “These are the tales, the freaky tales… These are the tales that I tell so well…” That’s not a song that I’ve even heard in the last 10 years. I guess listening to all the other old songs brought back Continue reading

Primary Thoughts of Late

I can’t believe it’s been two weeks since my last post. I’ve really let time slip away from me. I guess springtime brings forth life in many ways in my family. We’ve been busy. I don’t really have anything specific to say at this point, but I’ve had some random thoughts lately.

Melanie Richardson model actor writer primarythoughts.netThe first was regarding technology and dating. Specifically, how technology has affected dating. I was thinking about it the other day and realized that you can’t give someone the wrong number any more. We’ve all had those encounters where we really didn’t feel like being bothered with making that connection. Or when the conversation was Continue reading

One of My Favorite Restaurants: Chipotle!

Yesssstttt!!! Chipotle!

I love the burrito bowl. Not much for the gooeyness of a tortilla with a traditional burrito, so the bowl works best for my tastes. If I do a tortilla, I like it slightly fried, like a chimichanga, but that’s a different restaurant. Back to the bowl…

My favorite:

  1. Start with lettuce (they will look at you funny, because most people just want rice. And don’t let them throw the lettuce on after the rice. It changes the taste – I swear.)
  2. Rice (again, lettuce, then rice. After that you’re cool. All the other ingredients can be added in random order.)
  3. Vegetarian black beans
  4. Grilled steak
  5. Cheese
  6. Corn salsa
  7. Sour cream
  8. Guacamole

Technically, this could also be considered the salad with rice added. Just thought of that… *shrug*

Anyway – Chipotle is running a special. Buy one get one free, because of a new reality show that the owner of Chipotle is a part of. It’s simple to get the coupon. No websites to sign up for, no marketing lists (email address collections), etc. You watch a 1 minute video on the concept of the reality show and then you print your coupon. And… it’s on facebook. Not to say that facebook is a scam-free site, but you’re not going to some obscure site if you want the coupon.

If you haven’t tried Chipotle, you definitely should. I can never eat the entire bowl, so for me this is a 4 meal deal. Frugal, who me…? Yes, I am.

Well, I just realized I didn’t follow the instructions precisely. I didn’t like their page, but my coupon is already in hand. :D
